Identity, Culture and the Arts
Assessment Tasks
INTRODUCTION TO THE THREE ASSIGNMENTS
Like the subject overall, the three interrelated assessment tasks look at young peopleÂ’s cultural
expression through the Arts and how this is linked to youth identity. Across the three assignments you
will look at young peopleÂ’s artistic/creative cultural practices or activities and sites where these occur.
It is intended that your responses to the three assessment tasks will be linked by a common
overarching topic or area of interest that you will decide upon. The activity may be in the arts or in
some other form of creative program or practice.
