Post a completed logic model (in table format) for a practitioner-level intervention based on the problems and needs that you identified last week. Be sure to link the areas across the table.
In the table, describe the types of problems, the client needs, the underlying causes of problems, and unmet needs. Then describe interventions that would lead to a change in the presenting conditions. Identify the short- and long-term outcomes that you think would represent an improved condition.
Follow the table format with 1 to 2 paragraphs that elaborate on your practice-level model outline and cite resources that inform your views.

A brief description of the program to be developed
Improving healthcare programs have a potential impact on enhancing healthcare
outcomes. Introducing new programs might not be feasible, thus the need to improve the existing
programs. Innovation is integral to enhancing healthcare strategies and programs to develop an
evidence base necessary for establishing and refining the technical elements of care delivery. The
program to improve is the virtual services targeted to assist adolescent clients with severe mental
health. Since the spread of COVID-19, it has highlighted the value of virtual mental health
services. The expansion of virtual services revealed both advantages and limitations. The need
to enhance these programs will transform mental health service provision, to comply with
measures of confidentiality and therapeutic impacts (Molfenter et al., 2021). Enhancing virtual
services will incorporate better interventions for certain populations suffering from severe mental
illnesses.
Criteria for inclusion.
According to Hawke et al. (2021), transitioning to virtual mental health services and
involving all individuals with mental illness ensures care continuity for individuals with mental
illnesses and their families. The inclusion criterion is integral to ensuring that it extends the reach
and accessibility of appropriate care. Even though the program will strive to include all persons
with mental illness, the youths comprise the primary focus. The reason for primarily focusing on
youth is their developmental challenges during adolescence and emerging adulthood,
characterized by emerging mental health challenges. Hawke et al. (2021), stipulate that
adolescents and emerging adults face developmental challenges such as educational transitions,
3
progress, social relationships, labor force integration, autonomy, and occupational development.
Increased developmental challenges increase the risk of mental health issues, thus the need to
focus on adolescents and young adults.
What two best methods to use.
With the increase in mental health concerns amongst youth, it is appropriate to gather
perspectives that can assist with enhancing current virtual-based programs and services. Reay et
al. (2020), stipulate that enhancing virtual mental health services forms an effective and efficient
care delivery. Evaluation tools can aid with these proposed adjustments. When collecting
information, it would be beneficial to utilize assessments such as surveys and interviews with
clients and clinicians. Surveys like the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the
Generalized Linear Mixed- Models (GLMM) help decipher value and or conflicts present with
phone and video use technologies (Molfenter et al., 2021). Credible information assembled from
clients and service providers can help modify and impact the enhancements needed to
appropriately and successfully treat youths struggling with various mental health.

Describe at Least One Common Client Problem, Issue, or Gap in Services.
Transportation, financial barriers, long waitlists for services, and stigmas surrounding
mental health are just some of the numerous issues clients and agencies face. The newest
problem I have noticed stems from the outbreak of Covid19, which involves a decrease in direct
care. Virtual mental health services quickly transitioned as the primary alternative during the
pandemic. Despite its apparent pros, during the spread of Covid19, virtual services continued to
be of primary choice. This service is not ideal in the field of mental health, working with young
clients who suffer from depression and anxiety. It strains therapeutic relationships and direct
care, thus limiting confidentiality, desired outcomes, and proper service delivery.
Specifically, Highlight What You Notice That May Tell You Clients are Needing Something
More.
I have noticed that many clients receiving outside support aside from the agency I am
currently with, lack social support. Specifically with the agencies where they receive virtual care
services. Although some families have reported the convenience of their children meeting with
their therapist virtually, even more, have criticized the access and maintenance of engagement
during virtual sessions (Bornheimer et al., 2022). Thus, the improper care the client receives. Inperson interaction is detrimental to well-being and overall success in various facets of life. When
the pandemic forced numerous shutdowns, the use of hands-off tactics (social distancing)
developed globally. The methods established were embraced, creating a sense of security and
safety, but at what cost? According to Bornheimer et al. (2022), challenges have emerged when
assessing for symptoms and conducting suicide risk assessments, remotely. Since the decline of
Covid19 numbers, many mental health agencies in South West Florida’s surrounding area still
offer clients virtual counseling and therapy services As a result, an increase in new challenges
has arisen.
Identify a Program That You Think Is Necessary To Address the Problem, Issue, or Gap
and Explain Why
I do not believe a new program is necessary. Instead, improving existing programs is
vital. Program evaluations can help determine whether virtual services within its program are
operating as intended and if the desired outcomes are achieved (Walden University, LLC 2022).
If results determine otherwise, modifying the services in place should be implemented.
