This is my team project assignment. We have to write report for 3 companies, but I am only responsible for 1 company: Gillette. And I am only responsible for writing about the environmental  sustainability, my partner will be writing about Social sustainability. So you can just focus more on the environmental please.
Term Project Overview
The Term Project is intended to help enable you to identify and analyze effective
approaches used by leading companies and industries to manage their sustainability
(social and environmental performance) and has the four sequential components
you see above, as well as three rounds of peer evaluations. This assignment is
conducted in teams assigned by the professor and worth 30% of your course grade.
Your individual grade on the term project is subject to adjustment based on the
results of the peer evaluations, as described on the syllabus.
Company Analysis: The Company Analysis is a comprehensive analysis comparing and
contrasting the social and environmental sustainability performance of the three

Company Analysis: Detailed Instructions
Earlier your team selected three companies in the industry assigned to focus on for your
term project. Now, in your Company Analysis you and your team will analyze (compare
and contrast, not simply describe) these companies in terms of their focus, success
and challenges with sustainability, including both their social performance and their
environmental performance. As part of this assignment, you are expected to use and
cite each company’s Annual Sustainability Report or equivalent. In addition to these
company sources, your analysis needs to include information from no fewer than 10
credible sources from outside the company such as industry websites, the business
press, trade journals, etc. (note that press releases are a company source). APA citation
and reference style must be used.
Your Company Analysis must include all of the following areas for each of your 3
companies. Be sure to use these as headings in the main body of your analysis.
1. Sustainability
Reporting
5. Stakeholder
Endorsements and
Recognition
2. Sustainability’s Role
in the Company
6. Sustainability
Leadership in the
Company’s Industry
3. Social or
Environmental Emphasis
4. Stakeholder
Criticisms
7. Recommendations
1. Sustainability Reporting
Where and how does the company report its social and environmental sustainability
performance? What types of sustainability reports do they have? Provide links to those
you use in this analysis and indicate how often the report is updated.
2. Sustainability’s Role in the Company
What role does the company say sustainability plays in its overall strategy? (What does
it say about why sustainability is important in general? Or does it ignore sustainability as
a strategic issue?) Note: When you write up this section, be sure to compare and
contrast each company against the others to create an integrated analysis. A simple
description of what each company does is not responsive to the assignment.
3. Social or Environmental Emphasis
Which does the company emphasize: social or environmental sustainability? Or is it
balanced? How can you tell? Provide examples to illustrate what you believe the
company has chosen to emphasize. In other words, if you believe that the company
emphasizes social over environmental sustainability, what is your evidence? Note: When
you write up this section, be sure to compare and contrast each company against the
others to create an integrated analysis. A simple description of what each company does
is not responsive to the assignment.
4. Stakeholder Criticisms
What criticisms (negative publicity, legal actions, boycotts, strikes, etc.) has the
company received from stakeholders with regard to social and/or environmental issues?
List 3-5 of the most important indicating whether each is directed at a social or
environmental issue, including who made the criticism, the nature of the criticism and
the outcome (if any). Be sure to include your sources and to use APA style to cite and
reference your sources. Note: When you write up this section, be sure to compare and
contrast each company against the others to create an integrated analysis. A simple
description of criticisms each company has received is not responsive to the assignment.
5. Stakeholder Endorsements and Recognition
Has the company received any recognitions (i.e. awards, certifications) for their social
and/or environmental efforts? List 3-5 of the most important indicating whether each is
directed at a social or environmental issue, including the source of the recognition and
the nature of the recognition. Be sure to include your sources and to use APA style to
cite and reference your sources. Note: When you write up this section, be sure to
compare and contrast each company against the others to create an integrated analysis.
A simple description of recognitions / awards each company has received is not
responsive to the assignment.
6. Sustainability Leadership in the Company’s Industry
In what areas is the company leading the industry in terms of social and/or environment
performance? Has the firm been particularly innovative in one or more areas? Note:
When you write up this section, be sure to compare and contrast each company against
2
the others to create an integrated analysis. A simple description of what each company
does is not responsive to the assignment.
7. Recommendations
What does the company need to focus on in the future in terms of their social and
environmental performance? Why? Note: When you write up this section, be sure to not
only come up with recommendations for each company, you must also compare and
contrast the recommendations you have come up with for each company to create an
integrated analysis. A simple list of recommendations for each company is not
responsive to the assignment.
In addition to the above, be sure to:

Begin your analysis with a title page (including title, industry and companies, team
member names/roles and date and integrity statement) and a separate half-page
