FAIR HOUSING LEGAL ISSUES

You will provide an examination of a legal case study. We will learn about national fair housing laws and you will select a case study from a legal brief. Each case offers licensees unique perspectives on how the fair housing laws affect their obligations as a licensee and to their clients. Read the instructions below and write 4 paragraphs.   Scroll down to the end for an example! Follow  the template  do not copy write in your own words 
Instructions for Presentation Case Study
Begin with your name, date, and class number at the top of the paper.  You must include the headings shown.  Select 1 of the 3 legal briefs below.  Watch the case and take notes.  Then write a brief essay of 4 paragraphs following the template below.  Each paragraph must consist of 5 complete sentences.  Each paragraph will include a citation from the reference source.  Spelling, punctuation, and grammar count!  Remember to capitalize “I”.
TIP: How to include a multimedia citation: (author last name, time in minutes and seconds).  Refer to the following examples.  Also, be sure to copy the website link for the references at the end.

Write 1 paragraph demonstrating your comprehension of the concepts we learned in this course.  Cite the textbook, CHAPTER 14 on the topic of fair housing.  Compare and contrast the case with the various concepts taught in the textbook and other course materials.  Cite the textbook and include page numbers. Write 5 complete sentences.>

Write 1 paragraph assessing the outcome of this court case.  What was the end result?  Was the decision appealed, and if so, was it overturned?  Next, discuss the implications for the real estate industry.  Will the court decision affect future buyers or sellers?  What lessons should real estate agents and brokerage firms learn from this?  If you research additional data sources, cite and reference your sources.  Write 5 complete sentences.>

Write 1 paragraph stating whether you agree or disagree with the various principles in the court case.  Analyze what happened that brought the original case, the parties, their responsibilities, and the various court decisions.  Do you think the parties should have acted differently to prevent the lawsuit?  Could it have been resolved using alternative dispute resolution?  Which would you recommend?  Write 5 complete sentences.>
