As youÂ’ve learned throughout this course, organizations are constantly changing. Whether the change is in its strategies, structure, culture, demographics, or technology, it is important for business leaders to understand the effect these changes have on the organization, its business strategies, and organizational structure. The demographics of the organization influence some of these changes. Marketing and sales managers are very interested in the demographics of the organization’s customers and potential customersÂ’ needs and desires. HR managers are interested in the demographics of employees because this knowledge can help recruit and retain appropriate employees. IT and general managers want and need the organization to be current with technology so the organization can remain competitive and relevant in the industry.

YouÂ’ve become a trusted resource for your selected organization, and theyÂ’ve asked your advice on having a competitive advantage in the field. Brodsky Organization
The organization that I have chosen is the Brodsky Organization. The current employee
demographics at Brodsky Organization are 501 to 1000, with the majority of the workers being
young people (Brodsky, 2024). The company is established in New York City, USA.
The shift to remote work policy was a recent change that affected a large group of
employees and the organizational culture. This change resulted from the Covid-19 pandemic that
forced Brodsky Organization to shift some of its operations to remote work. Some of the
employees were suspended but with pay, since most of its operations involve physical and field
activities such as the construction and building of rentals and the development and designing of
apartments (Brodsky, 2024). Brodsky Organization handled the recent changes by clearly
communicating to the employees about the changes and offering support and resources for
remote work setup. Moreover, Brodsky Organization opened communication channels for its
employees to address the challenges that they may face while adjusting to the new work
arrangement.
Yes, Brodsky Organization was able to handle the change in an ethical manner. The
company adopted both hybrid and remote work as some of the activities required fieldwork,
prioritizing the health and safety of its employees (Hilberath et al., 2020). The organization
maintained clear communication with its employees, even those suspended but on pay, showing
concern and commitment to ethical practices and employee well-being. What stands out as
something to emulate in future business endeavors is the emphasis on clear communication and
support for employees during times of change.
Brodsky Organization utilizes technology by offering intelligently designed apartments
with breathtaking views. By utilizing technology, the organization has been able to build over
10,000 apartments in more than 85 rental condominium and co-op buildings (Brodsky, 2024).
Brodsky Organization uses technologies such as modular construction, project management, and
drown construction with real-time aerial imagery and 3D lidar scans. Another technology the
organization uses is the 4D Simulation and 3D printing. Change in technology will help the
organization streamline its processes, increasing efficiency and thus increasing productivity.
