INSTRUCTIONS
For this class, you will do two Finance-in-the-News Assignments (or FIN). You are to find THREE current articles from a newspaper or magazine or credible sources that support the unit 1 and unit 2 course materials. This can either be a local newspaper, a paper magazine, or you can go online to newspaper websites such as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Chicago Tribune, etc. You can also use magazine websites such as Time, US News, etc. These are considered “credible” websites, so do not mistake other websites to be the same. For instance, http://www.sdcexec.com/ is not a credible website. Neither is Wikipedia.com.
A minimum of three relevant and credible sources that can be used to support the concepts discussed in the first two chapters of your text, such as, but not limited to, cash flow cycle, ratio analysis, profit margin, and financial statements. If these topics do not appeal to you, you may choose another topic discussed in chapters 1 or 2.
APA formatted annotated bibliography.
Develop a three paragraph response for each cited resource:
The first paragraph provides a brief summary of the author’s purpose, covering the main points of the work.
The second paragraph points out the strengths and evaluates its methods and presentation.
The third reflects on how the source may be connected to the course ant integrated into your possible research.
Each cited source needs to be specifically linked to the concepts of the course materials. Do not cite random sources.
Do NOT repeat sources provided in the course resources.
