Week 10 Discussion
The budgeting process involves politics when having a final budget approved. Discuss 1–2 political obstacles that might hinder a budget from being approved. What is the political outcome of the situation?PLEASE RESPOND TO CLASSMATE POSTLadarrin DavisMar 10, 2024Mar 10 at 10:35pmManage Discussion EntryHello Professor and Classmates,One political obstacle that might hinder a budget from being approved is partisan politics. Suppose a budget proposal is put forward by one party. In that case, it may face opposition and resistance from members of the opposing party simply because of political differences and the desire to oppose the other party’s agenda.Another obstacle could be special interest groups or lobbyists exerting pressure on lawmakers to include or exclude specific provisions in the budget. These groups may significantly influence and lobby against certain budget aspects that are against their interests. The political outcome of these situations could lead to budget gridlock, delays in the approval process, and concessions to specific groups to collect enough support for the budget to be passed. This can result in a budget that may not necessarily be in the public’s best interest but rather one that satisfies political interests and special interest groups.Week 11 DiscussionPlease respond to the following:Recommend three strategies you might use as a first-time administrator to ensure that you are effective in your role. I learned a lot in this class and really enjoyed all the information I researched, and we discussed. I think communication is very important and detailed duties and responsibilities also.WEEK 10 ASSIGNMENTIn a 4–5 page paper, use the Financial Trend Monitoring System to identify financial factors affecting the financial solvency of a state, a local, or a nonprofit agency.
